Nāda Yoga

Nāda yoga:

Nāda yoga is an ancient Indian metaphysical system of practices during the Vedic times. Patanjali has mentioned in astanga yoga sutras”” in the fifth limb, about Pratyahara. Pratyahara, teaches withdrawal of senses, or sensory inputs into our being. To stop the scattering of this valuable and vital energy with in us, we need to seek to harmonize our source of the energy. This is done through pratyahara practices, here the technique of pratyahara is induced, by first reducing the physical stimuli, then by concentrating on one sense, such as hearing. The mind has a natural t
endency to roam between the sensory inputs. In this situation, as there are no longer any other significant sensory inputs, the mind gets tired of hearing. Therefore, it is forced to turn inward. Through practicing pratyahara, one Realizes that the entire cosmos & all that exits in the cosmos, including human beings, consists of nada. Practicing the sound as a vibrations, our saints develop a technique to tune our chakras, and bring balance in nadies nada yoga leads to know one’s personal sound vibrations, and it leads to inner awareness, sensitivity, self re-collectedness & finally to awakening. Avalokitesvara attained enlightenment, by understanding his subtle inner sound.
