100 Hrs Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training is available both online and offline.
Bringing the ancient Vedic knowledge of Garbhasamskara (The wisdom and knowledge of nurturing life in the womb) and Yoga together with modern science, this course is designed for:
- Yoga teachers to be well equipped and qualified to teach pregnant women
- Pregnant women keen on establishing a safe, efficient and holistic practice that will aid delivery and postpartum
- practitioners interested in understanding the process of pregnancy and motherhood
Course objective: To prepare and train you to conduct Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga classes for pregnant and postpartum women.
Course syllabus:
- Yoga and Pregnancy
- Garbhasamskara: Knowledge of the womb, Preconception, Holistic care for pregnancy and postpartum,Yoga practices for couples, Counselling and education for couples, and Childcare
- Anatomy and physiology – conception to creation
- Understanding Women and the need for Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga
- Physiology and changes during pregnancy – Maternal and foetal changes during each trimester
- Yoga practices for fertility, pregnancy, and high-risk pregnancy
- Yoga practices for postpartum, care and guidelines, weight loss, pelvic floor restoration and postpartum depression
- Teaching methodology for Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga
- Tips on allied subjects – Ayurveda, Nutrition, and Lactation
- Kriya, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, and Meditation
- The power, effects and importance of Mantra Chanting and Music on the womb
Daily Schedule
6:30am to 7:45am : Asana Practice (regular session)
8:15am to 9:00am : Pranayama
9am to 10:00am : Breakfast
10:00am to 11:30am : Anatomy / Philosophy / Prenatal and Postnatal Theory
12:00pm to 1:30pm : Back-bending and hip-opening class (regular session)
1:30pm to 3:30pm : Lunch break
3:30pm to 5:00pm : Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga practice / Teaching Methodology
5:45pm to 6:45pm : Meditation
Special classes:
Thursday: 5:45pm to 6:30pm :Mantra Chanting and Kirtans

Pre-requisites:
- Age 18+ years and under 60 years of age
- Should have done a Yoga teacher training before applying for this course
- A good physical and mental disposition
- Pregnant women are allowed only with a documented and signed consent form and a documented and signed letter of approval from a treating Physician
